The Dr. Hotze Report: Texas Legislature passes several ANTI-WOKE bills – Brighteon.TV
Dr. Steven Hotze and political consultant Carey Cheshire discussed
the various anti-woke bills passed by the Texas Legislature on the June 12 episode of "The Dr. Hotze Report" on
Brighteon.TV.
Cheshire said the Lone Star State had some real wins in the form of bills that protect children from the woke left, and Hotze mentioned Senate Bill (SB) 15 as an example. The bill authored by Republican State Sen. Mayes Middleton
protects women in college athletics from being erased by biological male competitors. He noted how the bill states that men cannot compete against women in women's sports. According to Hotze, this makes perfect sense as men and women are built biologically different.
Another bill, SB 14 authored by GOP State Sen. Bryan Hughes,
protects children from surgical and chemical mutilation of their genitals. Cheshire lauded the bill's passing, adding that such mutilation is "absolutely absurd" and "horrifying." He stressed that it "absolutely should not be allowed in Texas."
Cheshire, a political consultant, warned that a growing number of people are convincing children that they could become the opposite sex through puberty-blocking drugs, psychological grooming and surgical procedures. Corrupt doctors were mutilating the genitals of young boys and girls between the ages of 13 and 15, Cheshire continued. (Related:

Hotze then touched on SB 12, another bill by Hughes,
that goes after adults sexualizing children. According to the
Brighteon.TV host, there are people who are trying to expose children to adult sexual material such as drag shows.
Cheshire said such performances should not be seen by children. The political consultant said he hopes banning prurient displays will have a chilling effect on things such as Pride parades.
Texas Legislature's ban on DEI signed into law
SB 17, another proposal passed by the Texas Legislature, banned diversity, equality and inclusion (DEI) offices from being established in publicly-funded higher institutions of learning. It also ordered the closure of already-existing offices in public colleges and universities. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott
signed it into law in June 14.
Cheshire lauded the Texas Senate, SB 17's author State Sen. Brandon Creighton, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and the Texas GOP for their support of the bill that killed DEI. He added that conservatives pushed the Texas House of Representatives to make some changes in the bill, and that state senators also added in changes of their own.
"I think we're going to have to see how it's implemented to see if we need to go back to that. I think conservatives rightly look at higher education and think, 'We can do a whole lot more in that sector. We can turn these universities back to reading, writing and arithmetic and away from the leftist indoctrination camps that they have become,'" said the political consultant.
According to Cheshire, DEI effectively lessens the need for Christians and White people in a university. With this woke idea in place, institutions of higher learning become indoctrination centers catering to the leftist political movement.
